Enhabit

Founded in 2010, Enhabit is a Northwest non-profit organization that creates social impact through better living spaces. Enhabit home advisors work directly with homeowners to create efficient, healthy and safe home environments by helping them implement both small upgrades and whole-home retrofits. A third-party, unbiased resource, Enhabit also helps homeowners find financing, certified contractors, utility incentives and assurance the upgrades are high-quality.

Northwest homeowners also can utilize Enhabit’s authorized, licensed home energy assessors to receive a federal-, state-, and city-compliant Home Energy Score and report. The process is simple and fast: After a homeowner books an appointment online, Enhabit will send a home energy assessor to conduct a 45-minute, in-home assessment. Immediately afterward, the homeowner will receive their Home Energy Score Report.

A Home Energy Score will be required for homes listed for sale in Portland, Oregon starting on January 1, 2018. Homeowners planning to list a home in 2018 will need to get a score to comply with the requirement. However, any homeowner in the Pacific Northwest can get a score from Enhabit to learn more about their home’s efficiency, regardless of their intent to sell the home.
