Eastman is a global specialty chemical company that produces a broad range of products that are found in items people use every day. Headquartered in Kingsport, Tennessee, Eastman employs approximately 14,000 people and had 2013 revenues of approximately $9.4 billion.
Since the 1970s, Eastman’s energy policy has balanced the need for affordable energy supplies with the need to reduce the amount of energy needed to make our products. Eastman’s integrated manufacturing processes and use of combined heat and power (CHP) results in highly efficient operations. Since 2008, Eastman has improved intensity by nearly 9 percent.
Eastman received the 2017 Better Project Award for installing a combustion turbine burner that has improved steam production reliability and saved 156,000 MMBTU in annual energy consumption.
