PORTFOLIO ENERGY PERFORMANCE

Better Buildings Challenge Partners strive to decrease portfolio-wide source energy use intensity (EUI) and to increase the percent improvement compared to a set baseline. San Buenaventura's portfolio consists of 36 properties and more than 570,000 square feet. The partner has improved energy performance by 13% from a 2013 baseline, making progress towards a goal of 20% by 2023.  Energy savings have been achieved by implementing lighting retrofits across all properties; HVAC upgrades at the three largest properties; Energy Star appliance upgrades; and an energy awareness program focused on low-cost opportunities for savings.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE BY PROPERTY

Looking at the percent improvement in energy performance across all facilities can provide insight into how an organization is saving energy. San Buenaventura has achieved energy performance improvement of greater than 15% at all of its properties.

IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT

Property-level energy performance metrics, including EUI and percent improvement to date, are critical to track progress over time and identify opportunities for additional energy savings. San Buenaventura's portfolio consists of properties with a range of baseline EUI values between 50 and 80 kBtu/sq. ft. All properties have shown energy improvement since 2013.
