PORTFOLIO ENERGY PERFORMANCE

Better Buildings Challenge Partners strive to decrease portfolio-wide source energy use intensity (EUI) and to increase the percent improvement compared to a set baseline. Camas School District's portfolio consists of 13 buildings and nearly 1 million square feet. Since 2009, Camas has improved energy performance by 19%. Energy savings have been achieved with retro-commissioning, reducing building schedule during unoccupied times, along with building energy conservation awareness/stewardship partner program through Washington Green Schools.

ENERGY PERFORMANCE BY PROPERTY

Looking at the percent improvement in energy performance across all properties can provide insight into how an organization is saving energy. Camas has achieved energy performance improvement of greater than 15% at 6 properties, which shows the significant progress the organization has made through energy management efforts. Three properties are not included in this chart as they were built later than Camas' baseline date.

IDENTIFYING OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT

Property-level energy performance metrics, including EUI and percent improvement to date, are critical to track progress over time and identify opportunities for additional energy savings. Camas' portfolio consists mostly of properties with baseline EUIs ranging from 75 to 150 kBtu/sq. ft.
